Rift and quarter sawing cuts the log so the grain runs straight down the board. The result is a linear, tailored floor (quarter sawn white oak also shows ray fleck) and boards that move less with Michigan’s seasonal humidity.

Best for: Architect-led projects, contemporary interiors, and installations where stability matters.
